The Importance of Clitoris
In the beginning, as a baby develops in the womb, its sex is not determined, and it has what we shall call a bisexual phallus. In about the fifth month the sex of the baby becomes determined and then if it is to be a boy, the bisexual phallus develops into a penis, and if a girl, it develops into a clitoris. Because of this, the penis and the clitoris are similar in many ways. Though much smaller than the penis, the clitoris, like the penis, is divided into two partsÄhead and shaft. The head is packed with a large number of nerves, which are among the most sensitive that a woman possesses. When stimulated, these nerves excite nerves in many other parts of the woman, and help in creating a sexual tension which will not subside until sexual orgasm is reached.

As is the case with the penis, the clitoris does not have an opening in it. However, like the penis, it gets filled with blood during sexual excitement, and becomes erect. Unless her clitoris is stimulated in some form, it is not possible for a woman to achieve sexual orgasm, just as it is not possible for a man to get an orgasm unless his penis is stimulated in some form. Thus, clitoris is of vital importance during love-making, and should not be ignored by lovers.

Many people have the notion that it is the movement of the penis against the walls of the vagina that causes sexual orgasm in a woman. This is a wrong notion. It is the stimulation of clitoris, and not of vagina, which is of primary importance in the achievement of a woman's orgasm. In most couples, during the process of moving the penis against the walls of the vagina, the clitoris gets stimulated either directly or indirectly, and this probably makes them overlook the true importance of the clitoris. Having stressed the importance of clitoris in enabling a woman to get her orgasm, it must now be made clear that the movement of penis against the walls of vagina is also very important. It is usually such movements that carry a man to his orgasm. Also, the lining of the vagina is sexually sensitive, and the movement of penis against it is pleasurable to a woman. Furthermore, the penetration and the movement of penis in vagina creates in a woman the right kind of psychological climate in which she can achieve her sexual orgasm.

Though extremely sensitive and of vital importance in the achievement of sexual orgasm, the rough, wrong or too early handling of the clitoris can put off the woman. If for some reason the clitoris of a woman is cut, she would still be capable of achieving sexual orgasm. The spot where the clitoris was would continue being the centre of sexually-sensitive nerves, and its stimulation would produce the same results that would have been achieved by the stimulation of the clitoris.
